The Imperial College London President’s PhD Scholarships 2027–28 offer exceptional applicants the opportunity to pursue a fully funded doctoral degree at one of the world’s leading research universities.

💰 WHAT DOES THE SCHOLARSHIP COVER?
Successful scholars can receive:
🎓 Full tuition fee coverage
💷 £27,036 annual stipend for living expenses
🔬 £2,000 per year for research consumables during the first 3 years
📚 Access to research and professional development opportunities
🤝 Networking opportunities and support through Imperial’s Early Career Researcher Institute
⏳ Funding for approximately 3.5 years of PhD study
👤 WHO CAN APPLY?
The scholarship is open to applicants from the UK and around the world — there are no nationality restrictions. 🌍
Generally, applicants should have:
✅ A first-class undergraduate/integrated Master’s degree or equivalent
OR
✅ A distinction in a standalone Master’s degree
🔬 Strong academic performance and research potential
🎓 An application for a new PhD programme at Imperial College London
👨🏫 An Imperial academic supervisor who has agreed to supervise your proposed research

Applications are assessed in three rounds:
🥇 Round 1: 2 November 2026
🥈 Round 2: 11 January 2027
🥉 Round 3: 1 March 2027
