At the Institute of Physics of the University of Freiburg, Germany, there are currently two PhD position vacancies on experimental molecular physics:
The first project “Time-resolved XUV Photoelectron Photoion Coincidence spectroscopy of small molecular complexes” is focused on the development of a monochromatized high repetition rate XUV beamline and its coupling to a photoelectron photoion coincidence spectrometer. In the second project “Spectroscopy of Isolated Chromophore Ensembles” the successful candidate will study organic molecules and their aggregates with various spectroscopic approaches using a variety of pulsed Laser sources, detection schemes and cluster isolation techniques.
